Quick answer
Polish brands and retailers use Turkish manufacturing because the road route is short, three to five days to Warsaw and Lodz, goods enter duty free under the EU Customs Union with an ATR certificate, and orders start at 100 pieces per style. That combination suits the shallow-and-repeat pattern Polish online brands trade on.
One of the shortest routes in Europe
Istanbul to Warsaw by road is around three to five days, faster than most of Western Europe. For a Polish brand that means a reorder placed on a Monday can realistically be on the shelf inside a month, which is a different business model from container buying.
It also means freight cost per piece is low enough that it does not distort the landed cost the way it does for long haul sourcing.
Built for online-first brands
Poland's apparel growth is concentrated in e-commerce, where the killer problem is not price but inventory. Buying deep on an unproven style ties up cash and ends in markdown. Buying shallow requires a supplier who will actually run 100 pieces.
We do, and at the same factories and the same quality standard used for 20,000 piece programmes, so the test order is a genuine read on the product rather than a sample run.
- Test at 100-300 pieces per style across a wide range
- Repeat winners in 3-4 weeks on held fabric
- Scale proven lines into 2,000 to 10,000 piece programmes
- Direct-to-consumer packing and labelling handled at the factory
Manufacturing in Poland versus Turkey
Poland has a real domestic garment industry, particularly around Lodz, and for very small runs it is often the right answer. Where it runs out is fabric: most fabric still has to be imported, minimums are high and colour development is slow.
Turkey supplies its own yarn, fabric and trims domestically, which is why a full package quote here can include custom colour at a quantity Polish making-up alone cannot support.
