Quick answer

What we produce
Knitwear is its own discipline, separate from jersey and fleece garments cut from fabric. It covers crew and V-neck jumpers, cardigans, zip knits, polo knits, knitted dresses, skirts and two-piece sets.
Production is either fully fashioned, where panels are knitted to shape and linked, or cut and sew, where knitted fabric is cut like a woven. Fully fashioned costs more per piece and wastes less yarn; the right choice depends on the design, the gauge and the quantity.

Yarns and gauge
Yarn drives both handfeel and price. Cotton and cotton blends are the volume base in Turkey; merino and lambswool sit above them; acrylic and acrylic blends bring the price down for high street programmes; mohair, alpaca and cashmere blends are used for premium capsules.
Gauge decides how the garment reads. Chunky 3 to 7 gauge knits suit outerwear-weight jumpers and cardigans, 12 and 14 gauge produce fine knits closer to jersey in weight. Yarn count, gauge and structure are fixed together at swatch stage before any sample is knitted.
From swatch to bulk
Knitwear development starts with swatches rather than a full garment. You approve structure, yarn and handfeel on a swatch, then a fit sample is knitted, then a pre-production sample in bulk yarn confirms measurements after washing and finishing.
Finishing is where knitwear is won or lost. Linking, washing, drying and pressing all change measurements, so the size set is measured after finishing, not off the machine.
Order sizes
The entry point is 100 pieces per style and colour. Yarn is the constraint rather than the machines: dyed-to-order yarn carries its own minimum, so small runs use stock yarn colours while larger programmes get custom shades.
Above a few thousand pieces the yarn is dyed for the order, colour matching becomes exact and unit price drops. Programmes at ten thousand pieces and above are planned across allocated machines with staged deliveries.
