Custom means your construction, not a modified blank

Custom manufacturing starts from your design and builds the garment around it: your silhouette, your seam lines, your pocket construction, your fabric. It is the right route when a modified standard block cannot deliver the product you have in mind, whether that is an asymmetric-zip jacket, a panelled cargo trouser or a drop-shoulder hoodie with a specific collar architecture.

The trade-off against private label is development effort. Custom styles need original patterns, more engineering decisions and sometimes an extra sample round. We are direct about this at quotation stage, because a brand that only needs a good heavyweight tee should not pay for custom development it does not need.

Where custom pays off is differentiation. The finished garment is yours in a way no relabelled blank can be, and the patterns and tech pack created during development become brand assets you keep.

Starting from a sketch, a tech pack or a garment

You can enter the process at any level of technical readiness. With a complete tech pack, we go straight to pattern making and fabric sourcing. With sketches or mood boards, our technical team translates the design into measurements, construction choices and a bill of materials, and we build the tech pack together.

A reference garment is also a legitimate starting point: bring a sample you want to evolve, tell us what changes, and we reverse-engineer the pattern with your modifications. Whatever the input, the output is the same disciplined documentation, so the style can be reproduced identically in every future run.

Pattern making, toiles and fit development

Patterns are drafted digitally by experienced Turkish pattern makers, then graded across your size range with tolerances agreed in advance. For complex silhouettes we can cut a toile or proto in substitute fabric first, so fit and proportion are resolved before the real fabric is consumed.

Fit sessions work remotely or in person in Istanbul. You receive the sample, measurement report and construction notes; your feedback is converted into precise pattern amendments rather than verbal instructions to the sewing line. This is the difference between iterating and guessing.

Fabric sourcing and technical problem-solving

Custom designs often live or die on fabric choice, and Turkey's mill infrastructure is a genuine advantage here. We source knits from 160 GSM jersey to 500 GSM heavy fleece, wovens from poplin to canvas, denim in rigid and stretch constructions, and performance fabrics from Bursa's synthetic mills, with OEKO-TEX certified options across the core range.

Part of our role is engineering feasibility: telling you when a print technique will crack on a heavy brushed surface, when a fabric needs enzyme washing to hit the hand-feel you described, or when a seam construction will pucker at the specified GSM. Catching these on paper is cheaper than discovering them in bulk.

Custom dyeing to Pantone, garment washing, and finishing treatments such as peaching or silicone wash are arranged through specialised dye houses and laundries in the network.

From approved sample to custom bulk production

Once the final sample is sealed, the style is placed with the network factory whose machine park matches the construction, and bulk runs four to six weeks. Custom styles get the same inspection framework as any order: fabric checks before cutting, first-off-line review, inline audits and final AQL inspection against your sealed sample.

MOQ for custom production starts at 300 pieces per style. Development timelines vary more than for standard products: simple custom knits are often approved in a single sample round, while structured outerwear may take two or three. We give you a realistic development calendar at quotation, not an optimistic one.
