Quick answer
Apparel Manufacturer Turkey runs private label t-shirt production through vetted Turkish knitwear factories, coordinated from Istanbul. Combed cotton single jersey from 180 to 240 GSM, side-seamed construction and screen, DTG or DTF printing are standard. MOQ is 300 pieces per style (100 per colourway), with sampling in 1-2 weeks and bulk delivery in 4-6 weeks.
How we produce t-shirts through our factory network
ApparelManufacturerTurkey.com is not a single factory. We are an Istanbul-based production management team that places your t-shirt order with the most suitable manufacturer in our vetted network, then runs the project end to end: fabric booking, sampling, print approvals, in-line checks and final AQL inspection. You get one English-speaking point of contact instead of chasing a factory floor from abroad.
Turkey's knitwear industry is built around cut-and-sew jersey production, which is exactly what t-shirts need. Our partner units run cutting tables, overlock and coverstitch lines and in-house or closely linked print and embroidery facilities, so a full private label tee, from fabric to folded, polybagged garment, is produced within one coordinated supply chain.
Fabric options: from 180 GSM basics to heavyweight jersey
The workhorse t-shirt fabric is 100% combed cotton single jersey. For retail basics we typically recommend 180-200 GSM; for premium and streetwear lines, 220-240 GSM heavyweight jersey gives a boxier drape and a more substantial hand feel. Carded cotton is available where budget matters more than surface smoothness.
Beyond plain jersey we source slub jersey for a textured look, cotton-polyester blends such as 50/50 and CVC for durability and print stability, cotton-elastane jersey with around 5% elastane for fitted styles, and heavier interlock for structured tees. OEKO-TEX certified fabrics are available across these options, and organic cotton jersey can be produced through GOTS-certified partner mills when full certification matters to your brand.
- 100% combed cotton single jersey, 180-240 GSM
- Slub, marl and melange jerseys for texture
- CVC and 50/50 cotton-polyester blends
- 95/5 cotton-elastane for fitted silhouettes
- Organic cotton via GOTS-certified partner mills
Construction and fit details that separate a tee from a great tee
Most private label programs run side-seamed construction, which allows precise pattern grading and a cleaner fit than tubular bodies. Necklines are finished with 1x1 rib binding, usually with a back neck tape or herringbone tape for strength and a clean interior. Shoulder-to-shoulder taping, twin-needle coverstitched hems on sleeve and bottom, and pre-shrunk, enzyme-washed fabric are standard on quality programs.
We develop patterns for regular, relaxed and boxy fits, grade full size sets, and adjust rib depth, collar height and hem width to match your reference garments. If you send a competitor tee you like, our pattern team can measure and reproduce the block, then refine it through the sampling rounds.
Printing, embroidery and branding
Partner print houses cover plastisol and water-based screen printing for large runs, DTG for photographic artwork, DTF transfers for small multi-design drops, plus puff print, high-density and discharge techniques for streetwear finishes. Flat embroidery and 3D puff embroidery are available for chest logos and back hits.
Branding goes beyond the print: we produce woven or printed neck labels, printed inside-neck logos to replace sewn labels, care labels compliant with EU and UK regulations, hangtags and custom polybags. Tearaway labels and pad-printed neck branding are common requests for blanks-style programs.
MOQ, sampling and production timeline
Minimum order quantity is 300 pieces per style, with 100 pieces per colourway inside a knit program, so a single tee style can run three colours at 100 pieces each. Pre-production sampling takes 1-2 weeks; once you approve fit, fabric and print, bulk production runs 4-6 weeks depending on quantity and decoration complexity.
Finished goods reach most EU destinations in 3-7 days by road freight, while air and sea options cover the UK, US, Middle East and the rest of the world. We prepare commercial invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin, and we can produce ATR documentation for customs-advantaged shipping into the EU.
