Quick answer

Jackets are manufactured in Turkey through Apparel Manufacturer Turkey's vetted outerwear network, covering nylon bombers, coach jackets and 3-layer bonded softshells with 5,000-8,000 mm membranes. Shells range from 210T taffeta to 600D oxford and 250 GSM canvas. MOQ is 300 pieces per style; sampling takes 1-2 weeks (2-3 for complex builds), bulk 4-6 weeks.

Jacket styles we produce

Our partner factories cover the full mid-weight outerwear range: MA-1 and varsity bombers, coach jackets, harrington jackets, windbreakers, softshells, fleece-lined shackets and lightweight quilted styles. Each category is matched to a factory that runs that construction daily, because a plant tuned for taped-seam windbreakers is rarely the best choice for wool-blend varsity jackets.

Typical shell fabrics include 210T-320T nylon and polyester taffeta, 600D polyester oxford, polyester peach-finish microfibre, cotton twill and canvas from 250 GSM, and 3-layer bonded softshell with TPU membranes rated around 5,000-8,000 mm water column. Linings run from plain 190T taffeta to brushed tricot and quilted 100-150 GSM polyfill for warmth.

  • Bombers, varsity and harrington jackets in nylon, poly-twill and wool blends
  • Coach jackets and windbreakers with snap plackets or reverse-coil zips
  • Softshells with bonded fleece backing and laser-cut zip garages
  • Light quilted and fleece-lined transitional jackets

Construction and trims that hold up

Jackets fail at stress points, so we specify them explicitly: bartacks at pocket corners and hem vents, twin-needle topstitching on shoulder and armhole seams, and zip tape anchored with reinforcement stitching at the top stop. For rainwear-adjacent styles we can add seam sealing on critical seams and storm flaps with hidden snaps.

Trims are quoted by brand and spec, not vaguely: YKK or equivalent-grade zips (Vislon, reverse coil or metal), Prym-type snaps, drawcords with metal or plastic tippings, and woven or heat-transfer labels. If your tech pack calls for custom zip pullers, moulded badges or debossed snaps, we source them during sampling so bulk trims match the approved sample exactly.

How production is managed

You send a tech pack, sketches or a reference garment. We review construction, propose fabric options with weights and prices, and place sampling with the partner factory best suited to the style. Standard jacket samples take 1-2 weeks; heavily quilted or bonded styles take 2-3 weeks because pattern engineering and trims sourcing add steps.

After sample approval, bulk runs 4-6 weeks for most jacket styles. Our Istanbul team carries out inline checks during sewing and an AQL-based final inspection covering measurements, zip function, stitch density and appearance before cartons are sealed. You receive photo reports at each gate, so problems are caught at the cutting table rather than at your warehouse.

MOQ, pricing and timelines

Minimums start at 300 pieces per style, which can usually be split across sizes and 2-3 colourways. Pricing depends mainly on shell fabric, lining and quilting complexity, and trim count; a simple coach jacket sits at a very different price point from a bonded softshell with waterproof zips, so we quote from your tech pack rather than a generic rate card.

Road freight puts goods in most EU markets 3-7 days after dispatch, which lets European brands run tighter buying cycles than Far East sourcing allows. Air and sea options are available worldwide, and we prepare export documentation for you.

Fabric certifications and compliance

OEKO-TEX certified shell and lining fabrics are available on request, and our partner factories are audited to BSCI or Sedex standards. Where a program requires organic cotton content, GOTS-certified materials can be sourced through certified partners.

For EU-bound jackets we advise on labelling requirements including fibre composition, care symbols and country of origin, and we keep fabric test reports on file for your records.
