Quick answer

Woven shirts are manufactured in Turkey in cotton poplin (100-130 GSM), oxford, twill, yarn-dyed flannel and linen blends, with fused collars and single-needle stitching at 16-18 SPI on premium lines. Apparel Manufacturer Turkey coordinates production from Istanbul with a 300-piece MOQ per style, 1-2 week sampling and 4-6 week bulk lead times.

Shirt-making capability inside our network

Woven shirts are a different discipline from knitwear: they demand pattern precision, collar and cuff fusing, buttonhole automation and pressing lines. We place shirt programs with network partners equipped for exactly this work, from casual overshirts to dress shirts, and manage development, approvals and quality control from Istanbul as your single point of contact.

Turkey has a deep shirting tradition supported by domestic weaving mills in Denizli and Bursa, which shortens fabric lead times and gives access to a wide shirting library without ocean-freight delays on raw materials.

Shirting fabrics: poplin, oxford, twill, flannel and linen

Classic dress and smart-casual programs run on 100% cotton poplin at 100-130 GSM, with two-fold yarn qualities available for a crisper premium face. Oxford and pinpoint oxford around 130-180 GSM suit button-down casual shirts, while cotton twill and herringbone weaves give softer drape and visual texture.

For seasonal collections we source brushed cotton flannel at 160-220 GSM in yarn-dyed checks, linen and linen-cotton blends for summer shirting, cotton-elastane poplins for stretch comfort, and viscose or Tencel-blend fabrics for fluid resort styles. OEKO-TEX certified shirting is available, and organic cotton fabrics can be supplied through GOTS-certified partner mills.

Collars, cuffs, plackets and stitching standards

Collar style defines the shirt: we develop spread, cutaway, button-down, band and camp collars with fusing weights matched to the intended look, from crisp business collars to soft casual roll. Cuffs run barrel, mitred or convertible, and front plackets can be standard, French or concealed.

Construction quality is controlled at the seam level: single-needle stitching at 16-18 stitches per inch on premium programs, felled side seams, back yokes with or without pleats, and reinforced gussets at the side seams. Buttons range from standard polyester to mother-of-pearl effect and logo-engraved options, with horizontal bottom buttonholes as a classic quality cue.

Branding, labelling and retail-ready packing

Shirts carry brand identity in the details: woven neck labels, printed inner-yoke logos, contrast inner collar stands and cuff facings, embroidered chest or cuff monograms and locker loops. Partner embroidery units digitise and stitch logos to approved strike-offs.

Packing options cover flat-packed shirts with collar supports, tissue and clip presentation for retail, or hanger-packed garments for wholesale programs. Care labels are produced to EU, UK or US compliance requirements, with hangtags and polybags to your artwork.

From first pattern to delivered order

MOQ for woven shirts is 300 pieces per style. Sampling takes 1-2 weeks, covering pattern making, a fit sample and trim confirmation; salesman sample sets can be produced for your wholesale campaigns. Bulk production runs 4-6 weeks after sample approval, depending on fabric lead time and order size.

Finished orders travel by road to the EU in 3-7 days, or by air and sea worldwide. Export documents, HS coding and carton marking are prepared by our team, and quality is confirmed with in-line checks plus AQL final inspection covering measurements, stitching, fusing and pressing.
