Denizli, in Turkey's Aegean interior, built its economy on cotton. The city and its industrial zones host spinning mills, weaving plants, dyehouses and finishing facilities dedicated overwhelmingly to cotton products, and it has become one of the world's recognised centres for towelling and bathrobes.

What sets Denizli apart is vertical integration. Many producers control the chain from yarn to finished, packed product inside their own facilities. For buyers, that means fewer hand-offs, tighter quality control and often better pricing than assembling the same chain from separate suppliers.

The city's export orientation is long-established: Denizli mills have supplied European department stores, hotel groups and home textile retailers for decades, so export documentation, testing standards and compliance audits are familiar territory.
