Quick answer

Private label clothing production in Turkey means garments manufactured to your specification and sold under your brand: you choose fabric, fit, trims and packaging. ApparelManufacturerTurkey.com develops patterns from tech packs, sketches or reference garments, samples in 1-2 weeks, and produces from 300 pieces per style in 4-6 weeks with your labels sewn in.

What private label clothing production means

Private label means garments are developed and manufactured to your specification and sold under your brand. Unlike buying ready-made stock, you decide the fabric, the fit, the trims, the branding and the packaging. The factory produces exclusively to your order, and the finished product does not exist anywhere else in the market.

In practice a private label project starts with your design input, which can be a full tech pack, a set of sketches with measurements, or a reference garment you want adapted. From that input we develop patterns, source fabric, produce samples and then run bulk production with your woven labels, hang tags and care labels sewn in.

The commercial advantage is margin and brand control. Because the product is yours, you are not competing on identical goods, and you set the retail price around your brand rather than around a catalogue everyone else can also buy.

How a private label project runs with us

We are an Istanbul-based production management team working with a vetted network of Turkish manufacturers. When your enquiry arrives, we review the technical requirements first: fabric type, gauge or weight, construction details, printing or embroidery, and target price. We then place the project with the partner factory whose machinery and product experience fit it best.

Sampling normally takes one to two weeks. You approve fit, fabric hand feel and branding on a physical sample before any bulk fabric is committed. After approval, bulk production takes four to six weeks depending on quantity and decoration complexity, with inline quality checks during sewing and a final inspection before packing.

Throughout the project you deal with one contact who reports in plain English on fabric status, cutting, sewing progress and shipping. Road freight to most of Europe takes three to seven days, and we handle export documentation.

  • Design input: tech pack, sketches or reference garment

  • Fabric sourcing from Turkish mills, OEKO-TEX options available
  • Sampling, revisions and pre-production approval
  • Bulk production with inline and final quality control
  • Branded labels, hang tags, packaging and export shipping

Minimums and what drives your unit price

Our minimum order is 300 pieces per style, and on knitwear such as t-shirts and hoodies each colourway can be as low as 100 pieces within that style total. These minimums exist because fabric mills dye and finish in batch quantities, and cutting a marker for fewer pieces wastes fabric and machine time.

Unit price is driven by fabric weight and composition, construction complexity, decoration and order size. A 180 gsm combed cotton t-shirt with a one-colour print costs far less to make than a 480 gsm brushed fleece hoodie with embroidery and custom trims. Heavier fabric means more raw material cost per garment; more decoration means more processes, each with its own setup cost spread over the run.

We quote transparently: unit price, sampling cost, MOQ per style and colourway, and lead time are stated before you commit. There are no invented discounts and no hidden charges added later.

When private label is the right choice

Private label suits brands that have a clear design direction and want a product that is genuinely theirs: a specific fit, a specific fabric weight, custom trims and branded packaging. It is the standard route for streetwear labels, fashion startups moving past blanks, and established brands adding new categories.

If you only need your logo added to an existing generic garment, white label production is usually faster and cheaper, because the base product already exists and only decoration and labelling change. We offer both routes and will tell you honestly which fits your stage.

Private label makes most sense once you can commit to 300 pieces per style. Below that, sampling and small DTF or DTG decorated runs on stock garments are a more economical way to test demand.

Why produce private label in Turkey

Turkey combines vertical textile infrastructure with proximity to Europe. Knit fabric mills in Bursa, cotton weavers around Denizli and a deep accessories supply chain mean fabric, trims and production sit within a few hours of each other, which shortens development time compared with sourcing components across borders.

Lead times are the practical advantage: sampling in one to two weeks and bulk in four to six weeks, followed by road freight to Europe in three to seven days. That cycle allows two to four collections per year with realistic cash flow, instead of committing to deep-sea shipping windows months in advance.

Our partner factories are BSCI or Sedex audited, OEKO-TEX certified fabrics are available as standard, and GOTS organic cotton production can be arranged through certified partners when your brand requires it.
