Wholesale Clothing from Turkey

Turkey supplies wholesale buyers in two very different ways: ready stock from Istanbul's wholesale districts, and made-to-order production. We manage apparel production through a vetted network of Turkish manufacturers, and on this page we explain honestly which route fits which buyer, including when stock is the better answer.

Quick answer

Wholesale clothing from Turkey comes three ways: ready stock from Istanbul districts like Merter within days, semi-ready blanks decorated to order in 1-2 weeks, and made-to-order production from 300 pieces per style in 4-6 weeks. Apparel Manufacturer Turkey manages the made-to-order route, and road freight reaches the EU in 3-7 days.

The three ways to buy clothing wholesale from Turkey

First, pure stock: Istanbul districts such as Merter, Osmanbey and Laleli hold thousands of wholesale showrooms selling finished garments off the shelf. You buy existing designs in existing colours at pack quantities, often within days. Second, semi-ready programs: undecorated blanks such as tees and hoodies held in stock, then printed or embroidered to your order, a middle route with short lead times and some customisation.

Third, made-to-order production, which is our core business: garments manufactured from scratch to your specification at 300 pieces per style, in four to six weeks after sample approval. Each route trades off speed, exclusivity and control differently, and buyers get into trouble mainly by expecting one route to behave like another.

Stock and semi-ready: strengths and honest limits

Stock buying is unbeatable on speed and entry quantity. Boutique owners restocking fast-moving styles can assemble mixed orders in a day and have them on the road to Europe within the week. Semi-ready programs add your print or embroidery to stocked blanks, giving a branded look in one to two weeks.

The limits are just as real. Stock designs are sold to anyone, so exclusivity is zero and a competitor can carry your exact garment. Colours, fabrics and fits are fixed; size runs come in preset packs; repeat availability is not guaranteed once a stock lot sells out; and fabric certificates or compliance documentation are often thin or absent. Relabelling stock garments also has legal limits around fibre content and origin claims that buyers frequently underestimate.

We say this plainly because we are not a stockholder: our role in stock and semi-ready programs is arranging and quality-checking them through the network where they genuinely fit the buyer's need, not pushing them.

Made-to-order wholesale: your product, produced for you

Made-to-order production flips every one of those limits. Designs are exclusive to you, fabric and fit are chosen rather than accepted, colours are dyed to your reference, your labels go in at the factory legally and cleanly, and repeat orders reproduce the sealed standard whenever you need them.

The costs are time and commitment: 300 pieces per style minimum, sampling in one to two weeks, bulk in four to six weeks. For wholesalers and retail chains developing own-brand lines, importers supplying boutique networks, and online retailers building repeatable programs, this is usually the economically correct route despite the longer lead time.

  • Exclusive designs no other buyer can source
  • Fabric, GSM, colour and fit under your control
  • OEKO-TEX certified fabric options with documentation
  • Repeatable programs with consistent sizing across seasons
  • Own-label garments with compliant care and content labelling

Choosing your route by buyer type

A boutique testing Turkish suppliers with a small mixed budget belongs in the stock market first; production minimums would force too much depth in single styles. A brand or retailer that has proven demand and reorders the same products each season belongs in made-to-order, where unit economics and exclusivity compound over time.

Many buyers run both in parallel: stock purchases for trend-reactive fill-in, made-to-order for the core program that carries their margin. If you tell us your quantities, cadence and market, we will tell you which mix we would run in your position, including when the answer is that you do not need us yet.

Logistics for wholesale buyers

Whatever the route, goods move fast from Turkey. Road freight reaches most EU destinations in three to seven days, with groupage options for partial truckloads; air and sea cover the UK, US and Gulf. For production orders we handle export documentation and consolidation as standard.

For buyers combining sources, we can consolidate production goods and checked stock purchases into one shipment from Istanbul, with a single set of export paperwork, which is usually cheaper and simpler than moving two consignments.
