Fabric choices for next-to-skin comfort

The workhorse of the category is combed cotton/elastane single jersey at 160-200 GSM: breathable, washable and familiar. Modal and micromodal blends add drape and a silkier hand for premium lines; polyamide microfibre gives the smooth, quick-drying base that seam-minimal styles need; and ribbed cotton qualities serve the current fashion for visible ribs in bralettes and briefs.

Because underwear sits against skin all day, we default to OEKO-TEX certified fabric options and can source GOTS-certified organic cotton through certified partners for programs that market organic content. Elastics, threads and labels are chosen for skin contact as deliberately as the shell fabric.

Styles and construction

For women: briefs, hipsters, thongs, high-waist styles and bralettes with lined gussets in 100 percent cotton regardless of shell fibre. For men: trunks, boxer briefs and woven boxers with functional or faux flies, shaped front panels and covered or exposed waistbands. Base-layer tops and singlets complete the basics range.

Construction choices define the product tier: covered elastic and picot edges for classic comfort lines, exposed logo waistbands jacquard-woven with your brand name for retail impact, and flatlock or bonded seams for seam-minimal styles. Gussets, bartacks at stress points and tagless printed labels are standard specification points.

Waistbands and elastics: the details that matter

An underwear program lives or dies on its elastics. We source jacquard, plush-back and fold-over elastics matched in tension to the fabric, so waistbands hold without digging or rolling. Logo waistbands are woven to your artwork with minimums aligned to garment MOQ, and elastic recovery is tested after repeated stretch cycles before bulk.

Dye lots for elastics and body fabric are coordinated so tonal styles genuinely match, a detail that separates a considered basics line from assembled components.

Multipacks, packing and replenishment

Underwear sells in packs and replenishes continuously, and production is organised around that: 3-packs and 5-packs assembled in the factory with printed band or boxed packaging, barcode labelling per pack, and consistent shade across packs within a lot. Core styles are held as standing patterns so repeat orders reproduce the approved fit exactly.

MOQ is 300 pieces per style with colourways from 100 pieces; samples take 1-2 weeks and bulk 4-6 weeks after approval. Road freight to the EU in 3-7 days keeps continuous replenishment programs realistic without holding deep stock.

Compliance for intimate apparel

We treat skin-contact compliance as a specification item, not a marketing line: OEKO-TEX certified fabrics and trims where selected, nickel-safe metal components on any hardware, and EU-compliant fibre and care labelling. Partner factories are audited to BSCI or Sedex, and certificates from mills and factories are shared with your order documentation.
