Leggings fail in predictable ways: seams that pop under stretch, waistbands that roll, fabric that turns sheer in a squat. Avoiding all three requires activewear-specific machinery and fabric knowledge, so we place leggings programs only with network partners running flatlock and multi-needle coverstitch lines and working daily with high-elastane knits.
Our Istanbul team manages fabric selection, fit development and stretch testing, and we recommend a wear test on the pre-production sample, squats included, before any bulk fabric is cut.
Performance and lounge fabric options
Training leggings run on polyamide-elastane knits, typically 75-80% polyamide with 20-25% elastane at 240-300 GSM, chosen for opacity, compression and a soft matte face. Polyester-elastane interlock offers a budget-conscious alternative, and recycled polyamide and polyester versions are available for sustainability-led programs.
Lounge and everyday leggings use 95/5 cotton-elastane jersey at 220-280 GSM for a natural hand with reliable recovery. Brushed-back winter qualities and rib-knit flare leggings extend the range. OEKO-TEX certified fabrics are available across performance and cotton bases.

Waistbands, gussets and seam engineering
High-rise waistbands are the category standard: wide double-layer bands, with options for internal elastic, silicone gripper tape, back V-shaping and hidden waistband pockets for cards or keys. Front seams can be eliminated for a clean face or replaced by seam-free front panels to avoid camel-toe issues.
Construction uses flatlock or multi-needle coverstitch seams that lie flat against skin and survive repeated stretch, a diamond or triangle gusset for mobility and durability, and contour back seaming where sculpted styling is wanted. Leg finishes cover clean coverstitched hems, split hems and stirrups.
Colour, branding and decoration on stretch fabric
Stretch fabrics demand decoration that stretches with them: we use high-elasticity heat transfers and reflective transfers for logos, tone-on-tone embroidery on waistbands where fabric stability allows, and sublimation printing for all-over patterns on polyester bases.
Branding is completed with printed inner-waistband logos instead of scratchy labels, compliant care labelling, hangtags with size call-outs and polybag packing. Matching sports bra and leggings sets are cut from the same batch for exact shade continuity.
