Fabrics chosen for infant skin

Babywear runs on combed cotton interlock at 180-220 GSM for bodysuits and sleepsuits, 1x1 and 2x2 rib for leggings, hats and cuffs, lightweight single jersey for summer pieces, and brushed or quilted double-face knits for outer layers. Turkish spinning and knitting quality in fine cotton is a genuine advantage in this category.

Because these garments sit against infant skin around the clock, OEKO-TEX certified fabrics are the default recommendation for skin-contact babywear, and GOTS-certified organic cotton is available through certified partners for organic-positioned brands. We are precise about certification scope: certificates belong to the fabrics and mills, and we hand you the documents rather than vague claims.

Safe construction for the smallest wearers

Infant garment construction has non-negotiables: nickel-free snap fasteners tested for pull strength, no drawcords at neck or hood in line with EU children's-wear safety norms (EN 14682), envelope necklines and full-length snap plackets for easy changing, soft flat seams positioned away from pressure points, and printed tagless labels instead of scratchy woven ones.

Small parts policy is strict: any button, applique or 3D trim is specified and attached to resist detachment, and we advise designing them out entirely for the newborn range. Embroidery backs are covered so stitching never touches skin.

The babywear range

We produce bodysuits and sleepsuits in short and long sleeve, footed and footless versions, kimono wrap tops for newborns, leggings and rib sets, dungarees, sleeping bags and swaddles, bibs, hats and bootie sets, and gift-boxed newborn collections that combine several pieces in one retail unit.

Prints are executed with wash-durable, skin-appropriate inks: water-based screen printing and digital printing on light grounds, with all-over printed fabrics available from our mills. Artwork is proofed at strike-off stage, including hand-feel on the actual fabric.

Program structure and commercial terms

MOQ is 300 pieces per style with colourways from 100 pieces inside knit programs; because baby sizes consume little fabric, size runs from newborn to 24 months fit comfortably inside one style minimum. Sampling takes 1-2 weeks and bulk 4-6 weeks after approval.

Gift boxing, hanger packs and multipacks are assembled in factory, and 3-7 day road freight to the EU suits the replenishment rhythm of a category where core styles sell year-round. Partner factories are audited to BSCI or Sedex, which increasingly matters to babywear retail buyers.
